Dr. Bob Esbensen: Owner Dr. Bob Esbensen graduated from the University of Illinois in 1981. After 7 years of small animal practice, he and Dr. Gloria opened Arlington Cat Clinic in 1988. His professional interests include surgery, ultrasound and endoscopy. Dr. Bob is also a diplomat of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) with a specialty in companion animal practice. His family includes his wife Gloria, son Pete, 2 cats and two golden retrievers. In his free time, he enjoys nature photography and fishing. Dr. Bob competes in ice fishing tournaments every winter and in 2010 earned a spot on the U.S. Ice Fishing Team. His team won the gold in the World Ice Fishing Championship in March 2010. He is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Chicago Veterinary Association and American Association of Feline Practitioners.
Dr. Gloria Esbensen: Owner Dr. Gloria graduated from the University of Illinois in 1981. After 7 years of small animal practice, Dr. Gloria and her husband Dr. Bob opened Arlington Cat Clinic in 1988. Her professional interests lie in pediatrics and the very cherished geriatric cats. Dr.Gloria's family include her husband, son Pete, 2 cats, MJ and Hobbs, and two golden retrievers Bear and Bensen. She enjoys cross stitching, sewing, quilting, reading, exercising and taking agility classes with Bear and Bensen. She and Bear also do therapy work at Alexian Brothers. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Christie Comm: Dr. Christie Comm graduated from the University of Illinois in 2005. She practiced at a cat clinic in Chicago prior to coming to Arlington Cat Clinic in 2007. She enjoys all aspects of feline medicine but has a special interest in behavioral medicine, nutrition, and geriatric care. She enjoys reading, traveling, walking and spending time with her three cats at home. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association. In addition, she serves on the Membership Committee of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Linda Vukovich is a 1973 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Science and Medicine. She has practiced companion animal medicine in Palatine for over thirty years, most recently making house calls for her more reluctant patients. She finds feline internal medicine fascinating and challenging and enjoys helping to maintain the health and well being of her patients. In her free time she enjoys antiquing, cooking and spending time with her extended family that includes a terrier and a giant schnauzer and five cats. She is active as one of two representatives in Illinois of HT-Z Giant Schnauzer Rescue.She is a member of the American Veterinary Association and the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association.
