Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Our senior kitties should have a general checkup every 6 months. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your cats feeling their best.

Diagnostic Services

Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic services to care for your cat's complete health care needs. We have the capability of performing in-house lab work where tests can be performed immediately on our ill patients. Our digital X-ray equipment provides high-quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.

Surgical Services

Our highly experienced doctors are not only proficient in performing spay and neuter procedures, but numerous other soft tissue surgeries as well. Whether routine or unexpected, you can have confidence in knowing your cat will be given exceptional care before, during and after. They will receive:
  • Preanesthetic blood work
  • Intravenous catheter and fluids
  • Sterile surgical suite
  • Dedicated staff monitoring vitals
  • Pain medication
At discharge following any surgical procedure, one of our technicians will review post-operative care instructions with you to make sure your friend recuperates as comfortably and painlessly as possible. We’ll even call you the very next day to make sure they are doing well and to address any questions or concerns you may have.

Dentistry

Dental health is very important to the overall well-being of your cat. As in humans, cats can develop periodontal disease, infected teeth, and oral tumors. Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, digital dental x-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.
**Receive $30 discount when you schedule a dental cleaning/surgery within 30 days of the doctor's recommendation.

Dietary Counseling

We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance, and health conditions.

Behavioral Consultation

We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as inappropriate elimination, spraying, and scratching.

Microchip Identification

According to PetFinder, over 10 million pets go missing every year, and one in three pets will go missing at some point in their life. A microchip is a tiny device which contains unique identifying information about a pet. This allows missing cats/dogs to be returned to their rightful home as quickly as possible. It is one of the simplest ways to protect your pet in case they ever get lost. For more information, click here.

Pharmacy

We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, flea and tick control products, and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your cat. We also carry several lines of prescription diets including Hills, Royal Canin and Purina.

Boarding

Boarding is for our clients' convenience. Short-term, two week, boarding is offered, especially for our patients that need daily medications or are finicky eaters when mom and dad are out of town. Because we do not carry every brand of food, we ask that you bring your cat's favorite food so we don't upset their digestive system with a different diet. Space fills up quickly around holidays so call early to reserve your kitty's spot.

Disease Management

As advocates of preventative medicine, we recommend annual exams for your cat to monitor weight and stature, as well as vaccinating for rabies and distemper. As your cat matures into its senior years, age 8 and above, we recommend an exam twice a year to monitor for the onset of diseases that can commonly affect the senior cat. We may recommend blood panels and urinalysis to complete our profile on your cat. Many aging disease processes can be managed effectively, if caught early, to give our patients a longer quality of life. We work collaboratively with you to develop a plan that is manageable for you and your cat.

End of Life Services

We know the difficulty of navigating the loss of a beloved pet. Our staff is committed to making our patients last moments peaceful and comfortable while helping you and your family through the process. For additional support, visit The Rainbow Bridge.

Senior Wellness

We like to see our senior cat patients twice a year to monitor for normal aging processes. The doctor may also recommend bloodwork and urinalysis. We carry joint support supplements to help with arthritis as well as prescription diets to help manage thyroid and kidney diseases, as well as diabetes.

Travel Certificates

Our doctors are certified to issue both domestic and international health certificates for travel by air or car. Prior to your appointment, we ask that you provide the necessary documents for your destination, as well as documentation for vaccinations. It is best to begin preparing for travel outside of the United States well in advance, as it can be very time consuming. We can also recommend anxiety medications to make the trip less stressful for your cat.
